Superstar Mohanlal has refused to comment on the ongoing farmers’ protest. The actor was attending the inauguration of the new building of AMMA organisation in Kalloor when a set of journalists asked him to comment on the farmers’ protest. He said that he would respond to the matter later and there would be an opportunity for that.
During the inauguration of the building, one of the journalists pointed out that none of the Malayalam stars had reacted about the farmers’ strike and that there were usually reactions on other issues. But when the actor skipped the question, the journalists kept repeating the question. Following this, Mohanlal replied that he would have a chance to respond to this later.
The farmers’ protest caught the world’s attention as celebrities from inside and outside the country came forward to express their views. Many well-known celebrities have come up either supporting or opposing the farmers’ strike, both on and off social media. However, none of the superstars from Kerala has commented on the issue so far.
